"Been thinking about you all day, still can’t get my mind off your body. I’m day dreaming ‘bout, look you sure turn me on babe. Nobody confess to your body, every time you let me touch…"

She says she wanna take her skirt off
Be my guest!
I decided to take my shirt off
And show my chest!
And we been sipping on that Merlot
So you know what’s next
Perfect intermissions, switching positions
We so explicit oh!

You can say it all night long
That you couldn’t wait to get me home alone
What you gon’ do to me
Don’t talk about it, be about it
Let me see, let me see, let me see
Girl I can’t wait to get you home
Talk a good game mate, come on
Holler ‘bout what you gon’ do to me
Don’t talk about it, be about it
Let me see, let me see, let me see

Usher ft. Rick Ross - "Lemme See"

R&B/HIP HOP MUSIC …. what the hell is this?

granted, rihanna started off easy sounding (and so did chris brown), then she got a little older (and so did he) and then they started dating (and beating on each other) and then the next thing you know he’s got tattoos up the ass and he’s cursing in his music, and she’s coming out with songs entitled “S&M” and “Skin” and “Birthday Cake” and “Talk That Talk” and “Rude Boy” and every other suggestive title under the motherfucking sun.

the only time it was easy to love singers when they were “young”/teenagers was the time where people that young were generally pop singers like Backstreet Boys and Nsync—because even as they grew up, their music pretty much stayed the same. Even as suggestive as Justin Timberalake gets since he started his solo career, and despite the fact he’s grinding his crotch on some woman’s ass during concert (i was there. i saw it with my own two eyes), his music still doesn’t go where it goes now.

backstreet is still together, minus kevin—and i love them to pieces because i have since i was 9 years old—and they were my first ‘fan-girl’ experience and whatever not, but no matter how old they get, or how many albums they make together or as solo artists, they’re still not coming out with songs in the way Rihanna is.

i have nothing against rihanna. her music is catchy for the most part, but for everyone to paint her as this innocent girl who got beat by chris brown…let’s not push it. getting beat by somebody is not supposed to make you write songs about whips and chains—unless you were already into that shit before he flipped and seriously did beat your ass.

i guess “safe words” weren’t enough that one time, and i guess your ass got over it real quick because chris brown was chosen by YOU to be on your BIRTHDAY CAKE song.

i think the world of r&b and hiphop is colliding in a way that shouldn’t even be. rappers are rapping about anything. honestly, if you’re tearing the crust off of your toast, you’ve got a hit song that’ll get played like there’s no tomorrow. r&b is suffering because they’re throwing in all of this “hood” style into their songs so you’re stuck sitting there trying to figure out if it’s really r&b you’re listening too.

i haven’t a problem with new r&b at all. i love all kinds of r&b (and music), but when r&b singers like Usher are putting out dance hits with people i can’t stand (like Pitbull—even though I really like that song…minus the Pitbull part), instead of putting out what hits like “Nice & Slow” and “U Got It Bad”, I can’t accept that.

variety is good in all areas of music and every artist will grow in their own ways, but r&b better get it together. there’s a reason why r&b music is tagged as “baby making music” and “slow jams”. you can’t have any of that if you’re singing about somebody licking the icing off of your birthday cake (even though that damn song is stuck in my head now!)

again—i love all all sorts of r&b, from the moment it started until where it is now, but when i want to set out to find “slow jams” and all i find is somebody chanting “CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE CAKE…” repeatedly, that’s not helping me get closer to what i want.

Is that Kevin from BSB in the bottom corner?

Or am I just projecting?

you’re not projecting..lol everybody was in this video!

I LOVE THE BACKSTREET BOYS!!!!!!! SINCE I WAS FREAKING 9 years old…and they all wonder where the ‘fan-girl’ in my came from. I always loved Brian the most, but actually I would day-dream about Kevin….the “oldest” in the group. It’s all good, Brian and Kevin are cousins. Lmao—too bad Kevin’s not in the group anymore. :( Oh… I wish I had a chance and the money to see them in concert.

Anyway—I remember this video—and the middle has JC. Yes, I am an Nsync fan too…and JC was my only favorite from there. Still—Nsync ain’t like my Backstreet Boys! :p
